When People Need Help, You Show Up.
I've always believed that when someone in your community is going through something difficult, you do what you can to help.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to support fundraising efforts for families, children and individuals facing serious challenges. Some were organized events. Some started with a simple request for help. Others were causes that brought an entire community together.
Each one was different.
But the reason for getting involved was always the same:
Help where you can.
More Than Raising Money
Fundraising isn't always about how much money you can raise.
It's about bringing people together.
It's about creating awareness.
It's about giving a family one less thing to worry about.
And sometimes, it's simply about letting someone know that they aren't going through it alone.
I've seen firsthand how powerful a community can be when people come together around a person or a cause.
That's something I'll always believe in.
Causes I've Supported
Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting fundraising efforts including:
- Alysia Santo's Fight Against Leukemia
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
- Pray for Ryan DeLorenzo
- Renee King's Fight Against Kidney Cancer
- Safyre Terry
- Team Dante vs. Harlem Wizards
- WEAR Grey for Greyson
Each of these represents a different story, a different family and a different reason to come together.
But behind every fundraiser is a person.
That's what matters most.
The Power of CommunityOne of the things I've learned through fundraising is that people really do want to help.
Sometimes they just need someone to bring everyone together.
A fundraiser can turn into a team effort. A team effort can turn into a community. And a community can accomplish things that one person never could on their own.
I've been fortunate to play a small part in some of those efforts.
Whether that meant helping promote an event, contributing resources, getting people involved or simply showing up, I'm grateful for every opportunity to help.
Keep Showing UpYou don't always know how much a contribution will mean to someone.
It might be a donation.
It might be an introduction.
It might be helping spread the word.
It might be showing up when someone needs to see a familiar face.
Whatever form it takes, I believe it's worth doing.
Because at the end of the day, it's about people helping people.I'm proud to have been able to support these causes and the people behind them, and I'll continue to look for opportunities to give back whenever I can.
